Even though the booking agent got the price wrong online, and under quoted the price, playa lingua still gave me a room with balcony at the discounted price. The staff here are kind, friendly and helpful and also encourage me to learn more spanish even though I am not attending classes. Hotel is 2 blocks from beach and central to all shopping. I would highly recommend this place for budget travellers. Hotel is of higher quality compared to hostels.

The room here was a good size with a balcony and two plugs, plus the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and close to Arte en Playa.

The whole room was a decent size and well soundproofedwith balcony and electric socket, as example. The location of the property was amazing and beautiful, near main tourist street. Moreover, it's near all the restaurants, bars, shops and all the shops and the center of 5th avenue.

My guest room with balcony, a shared bathroom and air conditioner was well soundproofed. The location for Playa del Carmen was incredible, next to 5th Avenue, nearby bars/music venues and the sea.

Really good stay, as always. A wide range of brilliant food. The rooms exceptional, new-fashioned with shared bathroom, shower plus balcony. Gentle and affable people working here. Stunning location on 20 avenue in a super nice area.

No one able to speak english Room located to a very noisy area of Playa del Carmen (even with the ear plugs, i couldn´t sleep) Bathroom with insect and no way to take a shower with a door closed or a minimum of privecy (even if it is a shared bathroom, you could at least expect to change without everyone to see you) Very bad

Playalingua is right in the centre of things yet is very quiet. It'sjust of the main "drag" and a short stroll to the beach with all the action yet not far from the more local beaches to the north or to the clearer, bluer beaches to the south. It has a very pleasant courtyard with lots of greenery and a small swimming pool - it would be nice to have a room with a balcony overlooking this - mine overlooked the road to the rear. I must be a bit stupid - as I did not put two and two together from the name when I booked - it is a language school and definitely has a slightly institutional feel about it. The room was pleasant enough, though cluttered, as they squeezed in too much, including a double and a single bed. Likewise the staff were very helpful but something about them made you feel you were back at school....yet all said the place was very good value.
The bed, though ok was a bit past it - sometimes you could feel the springs and the linen, though clean, was of poor quality. Generally the place was not my cup of tea owing to the institutional feel, but that is probably due to my hang-ups!

The location of this place was fantastic, close to restaurants, the popular 5th Avenue, and the city center, while the rooms were stylish and exceptional, and the staff were exceptionally friendly.

It's budget friendly and close to the beach; breakfast is ok, cereal and toast; you can also get omelet if you ask; next to famous 5th ave
if you want a good location for low price and dont mind the small room, it's a good deal.

Good location, cheap price. That's all! If you choose it - please be carefull with towels and linen, read below...
Terrible!!! Our linen on both beds were dirty!!!!!! With hairs, dirty spots and grains of sand on the bedsheets! Jummed! But - carefully covered as they do for new clients. In the bathroom legs towel was carefully rooled up but turned out to be used as well! I am travelling a lot around the world but saw that first time in my life!!!!!!!!!!!! It was late evening so in the hotel was no receptionist, only security night old guy speacking only spanish and it took me hell of effords to make him change room for us. In other room linen was slean but windows, floor, table - dusty and dirty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is 1st and last time I stayed in this place!
